1. Definition of aluminum alloy cable

Aluminum alloy power cable is a new type of power cable, which uses AA - 8000 series aluminum alloy materials as conductor by adopting special compression technology, annealing treatment, chain armoring process and other advanced technology.

 

2. Difference between aluminum alloy cable and common cable

 

AA - 8000 series aluminum alloy is used as the conductor of aluminum alloy cable, while common cable adopts copper or pure aluminum as cable conductor.

 

3. Why do we promote the use of aluminum alloy cable?

 

Under the same volume, the weight of aluminum alloy is about a third of that of copper. According to the calculation, on the premise of meeting the same conductivity, the length of aluminum alloy cable same weight is twice than that of copper cable. Therefore, the weight of the aluminum alloy cable with same load flow is about half of the copper weight. Replacing aluminum alloy cable with copper cable can reduce cable weight, lower installation cost, reduce the abrasion of devices and cable and make installation more easily.

Conductive properties: the conductivity of the aluminum alloy is 61.5% than copper IACS which is the most commonly used benchmark material. The carrying capacity is 79% of the copper, which is better than that of pure aluminum standards.
