1.Prices

Generally speaking, the price of high-quality aluminum doors and windows will 30% higher than those of poor quality. Some windows and doors even made of aluminum profile with only 0.6-0.8 mm thickness, which is quite dangerous to use for their tensile strength and yield strength are much lower than national standards. There is a national standard for aluminum doors and windows. The thickness, strength and oxide film of aluminum profile for high-quality products can all achieve the national standards. For instance, according to national standards, the thickness of aluminum profile for windows and doors must be thicker than 1.2mm, and the thickness of oxide film must reaches 10 microns.

 

2. Processing

With qualified material, the next step is the processing. The aluminum doors and windows don’t need too much complicated technique, and the level of mechanization is also low. Therefore, the manufacturing mainly depends on manual installation, which requires good awareness for quality of operators. The proficiency and product awareness are very important in the processing. The qualified aluminum doors and windows have precision machining, smooth tangent and consistent angle (usually, the main frame material has angle of 45 degrees or 90 degrees). There is no obvious gap in the processing so the windows and doors have good sealing performance, and can be opened and closed smoothly. The poor-quality windows and doors, especially for outdoors, will have the sealing problem; will be leaked in rainy day. What’s more, the glass will be burst and fall off in strong wind, which may cause the property losses even threaten the personal security.

 

3. Appearance

When choosing aluminum doors and windows, people usually pay much attention to the appearance of products and decorative patterns on glass but ignore the composite membrane on products’ surface. The composite membrane is formed by artificial coloring oxide film with excellent corrosion resistance, which also has a certain functions on fire protection. 

 

4. Performance

For different application range, the focus of performance of aluminum doors and windows are also being different. Generally, the following aspects should be considered:

(1)Intensity. It mainly reflected in the selection of material, whether the aluminum profile can withstand the ultra-high pressure.

(2)Air tightness. It mainly reflected in the structure of windows and doors, whether the outer windows is tight.

(3)Water tightness. It mainly tests whether the window has seeper or water leakage.

(4)Soundproofing. It mainly depends on the hollow glass and other special soundproof structure.
